Is China Trying To Kill U.S.? Biological Terrorism?

Odd that all the crap that has been causing us healt problems lately has been coming from China. Dogs and cats everywhere dying in mass quantities because of tainted products coming from China. Now other products from China are tainting the U.S. consumers. Now it's toothpaste which was poisoned with something akin to anti-freeze. Check out this New York Times article about the tainted toothpaste. China is blaming Panama for the tainted products, but I figure all are to blame for this one. Whomever uses poison in their products without notifying everyone is definitely liable for something. At the very least people should have a choice of whether or not they want to use poison products. People every day insert botulism into their faces so that they will have a permanently surprised looking face, but at least they know what it is when they do it as weird as they may be for doing it in the first place. Just as Canada and the U.S. are scrambling around trying to stop tainted toothpaste from killing more of their people they intercepted corn gluten from China with more poison in it. What the hell? I'm sorry for taking the offensive leap, but things are looking a little shifty. I mean come on we all know whether we want to admit it over here in America that half the Asians could beat us out in a scholastic meet on any day we choose. We aren't the brightest bulbs when compared with the rest of the planet. Don't try to shoot me full of shit and tell me that the innocent Chinese government didn't know or is somehow stupid enough to think that a little bit of anti-freeze, some plastic products and fertilizer wouldn't make a few people sick and a whole bunch of already sick people dead. If you believe that I have a bridge to sell ya. I think that our government needs to put every inch of every thing coming into the U.S. from China through rigorous testing even if it means we have to pay a bit more for the product. At least if things are tested once a month or something then we won't have as much crap zipping across the borders, and maybe the Chinese will stop trying to kill us. In the mean time people all I have to say is don't eat Chinese made products, and before you dumb rednecks go crazy and extreme please note that I am not saying don't buy products from Chinese Americans or go to Chinese restaurants.

What Class Are You?

Ok. So the New York Times has a class calculator that you can choose options on in order to find out what class you fall into in 4 different categories. The categories are Occupation - Education - Income - Wealth. Check it out and let me know what class you are in my comments. I am Middle Class in Occupation falling into the 45th percentile of the country - Upper Middle Class in Education falling into the 69th percentile - Lower Middle Class in Income falling into the 38th percentile - Lower Middle Class in Wealth falling into the 37th percentile - My average is in the 47th percentile. I have to say one thing that I am disappointed in as it relates to this little calculator is that my education is Upper Middle Class and the rest of me is well below that. I suppose that shows you just how lazy I really am when it comes down to it. The other frustrating thing is that I am middle class in my occupation but I am getting paid a lower middle class income. What the hell is that about? I would venture to guess it is because I have a lower middle class attitude, a lower middle class confidence level and a bottom 5th class mouth. We'll see whether or not any of that changes now that I'm doing the work I'm doing as it relates to my Remediation of an Angry Fat Ass blog.

Stop Sanctions Against The Sudanese Regime That Has Killed And Displaced Thousands In Darfur Or You Will Lose Coca-Cola Forever

Scary thought right? To have to choose between having a Coke and a smile or stopping genocide. Hmmmmm. I wonder what we will do? Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf, the Sudanese ambassador to Washington, held a press conference and threatened to take away Coca-Cola if we didn't stop the sanctions against his country which were imposed because over 400,000 people have been killed and others displaced and raped and more in a mass genocide against the people of Darfur. The Washington Post did an article highlighting some of the more idiotic things the ambassador said in defense of his country. Among the things the ambassador said was that the U.S. was the only country that said anything bad was happening in his country, that no one is dying in Darfur accept those who are fighting with their own people like cousins against cousins, that he and the other members of his government are the agents of peace, that the retaliation of his government would be to stop the trade of gum arabic to the U.S. which would prevent us from having Coca-Cola among other things, and that he would remove sugar from the people of Darfur which they greatly need in order to survive. There is more and eventually you have to realize that this guy is an idiot. He is the one they sent to represent his people in Washington and he isn't the brightest bulb so I am wondering what the rest of the people in his government must be like. With people like him running things it's no wonder they are killing off people in mass quantities. Dumb people are put into fear easily and fear makes dumb people do dumb things. Just look at our country.

Andrew Card Boo'd Off Stage at UMass Commencement When Getting His "Honorary" Degree

Andrew Card assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff and to the President was boo'd off stage at the UMASS commencement when the university attempted to award him an honorary degree. Many of the graduates wore "no card" papers pinned to their robes as they walked to their seats. Some had the sign put on the tops of thier hats so the crowd could see them as they sat and listened to the speaches. The crowd began to boo as soon as they started to give the speach about card and many stood up with banners and signs against him. I don't know enough about the guy to say what I think about him and what I don't or what I think about him being boo'd off stage. I do think that if that many of the people attending the commencement (especially the students who actually earned their degrees) disagree with the honorary degree being given then they should wait for another time. After all the graduation ceremony is for the students who earned their degrees and not the rest of us right?

11 Year Old Boy Kills 1000lb Boar

Wow!! I went to Jamison's website and checked out all the pictures and emails after seeing his story on CNN Headline News. Check out the CNN story about it here. I borrowed the picture above from their story. When I was at Jamison's website dedicated to his big pig there were links to both negative and positive comments. At the time I was on the site there were 85% positive comments. As I looked at the negative comments I thought it's crazy how negative people are. Funny how they go on and on about dumb rednecks in much the same tone as they view dumb rednecks in. I think if they realized that no matter where you live and whether you eat meat or go hunting or if you get your food at the grocery store you still have the ability to be an ignorant dumb ass. Interesting how people think that the best way to get their point of view across to others is through angry comments which lack facts as opposed to intelligent conversation with facts that people can learn from and then make their own decisions. I think all the people in the sites negatives section would only serve to make someone turn out more angry and ignorant.
I have the benefit in looking at the kill from the point of view of two angles as I am a country girl who moved to the city after serving my country in the military.
I am from Oklahoma so I am definitely born and raised a country girl who grew up hunting for my own food in a family who had to go find our Thanksgiving turkey somewhere other than the supermarket. I see the benefit of hunting and know that it is generally done in particular season. I think what the negative commenters don't realize is that hunting is a highly regulated industry. Those in charge of each states Hunting and Game regulations closely monitor numbers of fish and game to make sure that there are not too little or too many in order that a healthy balance of all that the animals need to survive will be present in their lives. We humans are a part of that balance and now that I am living in the city I think it interesting and hypocritical that someone in the city could be mad at anyone killing animals when they are taking away the environment the animals thrive in at alarming rates as they build their McMansions all across America. I can say that growing up in the country where we had to work for our food on a farm or hunting it has made me realize just how lazy the majority of city people are while all along thinking they are working their asses off just because they sit at a desk or in traffic for 60 hours a week. I wish they would try a little taste of how I grew up. People worked the same amount of hours but had to get up before school at 0dark30 in the morning to do it and then into the night after school and still get our homework done keeping our state in the top 10-14 in the nation in education. In the city people hunt each other either in traffic or on the streets and then get in fights with each other at little league games after work. Granted there is murder and mayhem in the country too, but not in the same percentages and even if the statistics show murder in the same percentages in the country vs. city at least in the country you can go into any neighborhood you want without worrying about whether or not it will happen on the street as you walk/drive down it. People in the country know to keep their killing, murder, molestation and raping inside their homes instead of leaving and doing it on the public streets at the very least. It's just commen decency folks, we have to be considerate of our neighbors and not bother them with our problems. Think about it.
The only hunting that I am opposed to falls into about 3 categories: 1- Canned hunts for little pansy weasels who don't have the balls to hunt like real men out in the wild as opposed to on some fenced in range with tame animals; 2- Out of season hunting and/or poaching; 3- Hunts where anyone human or their hunting animals are injured because their dumb ass parents didn't teach them gun/hunting safety and instead they turn out to be the privileged dumb ass Cheney's of the world.
The other side of me lives in the city so I look forward to being able to go to the store and take a bite of whatever piece of Jamison's pig I can snarf upon if and when it is available. I am happy to know that when I travel back home to visit my family for family reunions and holidays that I can sit down at the table and eat a yummy venison burger or have an egg straight out of the chickens butt without having to do all the work the rest of my family has to do to get that food. I live in the city of Atlanta where all I have to worry about is traffic on my way to work and how loud the neighbor who shares my wall at my apartment building is playing his music. (Speaking of ignorant dumb asses) I love that when I go home to visit I can play the vacation card instead of getting up when it is still dark to go out and feed goats or hunt for the Christmas turkey. I just pretend that city life has really worn me down and I'm happy to be at mom or dad's house chillin out and eating whatever free range animal that crosses our path. That tactic usually works at least until the sun comes up.
I send out prayers for Jamison - for him to have good luck in all his future hunts, that he doesn't ever get injured or accidentally injure someone else or his hunting dogs, that he never becomes a pansy weasel at a canned hunt where he corners a not so wild ram in it's own feeding pen and kill it while it shakes in fear and pain, that he is a hunter who is a real man and actually hunts his prey like any other good predator would, that he never gets bored with hunting now that he's had the ultimate kill and everything else will be small potatoes, and that he never forgets that everyone in our country deserves equal rights even the dumb ass idiots who sent him their negative comments after all that is why I fought in the military was so those idiots would have a voice without taking away someone else's.
And finally one last prayer for myself as it relates to Jamison the pig killer. - I pray that he sends me a giant box of deer jerky next time he bags a big buck. I'm starving in the big city of Atlanta over here.

$55,000 Per Speech Speaker For Hire

What in the world is happening when any person at all can command a fee for a speech that is more than a hell of a lot of people make in an entire year? John Edwards spoke to UC Davis students about poverty for $55k. He yaps about financial barriers for college students and then ups the next years salary for them by charging a crap load of money to talk to them about how messed up the world is for it's problems. What an idiot. Why even speak on poverty if you are gonna charge that much to do it? Choose a different topic or charge a different price. I'm all for people making money but geez! $200 or $400 haircuts or whatever it is and now this. No way would I vote for this guy. At the very least he would spend too much of the taxpayers money on pointless crap he could have saved money on.

Another Hitchens Video

This time he is battling Hannity. Hannity drives me nuts. He has various good points to make here and there but the problem with him is that he is not willing to listen to other people's points of view and learn from them. The thing that amazes me about this issue is that people are mad because there are those who tell the truth about Falwell and they ask for someone to respect them in their death by saying nothing negative about the guy even though he is a negative individual. The same people that say this are the ones who said all sorts of negative crap about Saddam when he was killed.

Christopher Hitchins Tells the Truth About Falwell

I don't know who this guy Christopher Hitchens is but he has a book out called "God is Not Great" and is on CNN talking about Jerry Falwell in this video clip. I have to agree with all that he says. He's not being an ass and wishing the guy dead or praising the fact that he is dead, but he's not giving the guy all sorts of credit for being a great guy when he wasn't. Falwell had a twisted view of the bible and propagandized the gullible nation. He and anyone else for that matter should only get credit if they do their job accurately and with quality. It seems that religion and politics are the only places we can get away with that crap. Any who...... here's the video.

The Art of Money Making With a Song in Your Heart and a Blog on the Web

Check out this article. It's about a "shaggy" looking 36 year old computer programmer who somehow convinced his wife to bless the idea of him quitting his job and becoming a full time singer and song-writer. Not an easy feat for her when you consider bills, the economy and the price of fuel. He made a rule for himself that he would write and record a song each week and then post it to his blog. He stuck to his goal through all the writer's block and difficulty. He had always had a dream of being a full-time musician and figured this huge challenge would be the way to do it. Those of you who are thinking "big deal" so the guy is a full time musician consider the fact that in order to be a full time anything you have to spend all of your time doing it. This means you can't spend any of your time with some other job which makes you any sort of money or compensation. Not because it's against the rules but simply because there isn't any time. So has he become successful? Who knows? I guess that would be based on what your definition of success is. He has however made a "reasonable middle class living" at it. He pulls in between $3000 and $5000 with the CD's and digital downloads of his music on iTunes. I don't know how that compares to being an average computer programmer but I do know how it compares to what I make. I make between $1500 and $3000 a month doing what I do and only parts of it are fun and none of it is what I have ever dreamed of doing. To me if you can make the minimum it takes you to just live while doing something you've dreamed of doing most of your life then you are successful. I plan to move to LA one day and become an actress or singer. Does that mean I will be famous and have paparazzi chasing me around on the streets? Likely no. It does mean however that little children all over the country will recognize my voice when I speak because I'm the voice of their favorite cartoon character. As long as I make between $3000 and $5000 a month then I'll be happy. So kudos to this guy (Jonathan Coulton) for doing his thing and more kudos for getting published in the New York Times and being the 3rd most linked article on blogs for just today. This means that he has in one day increased his blog traffic from more than 3,000 people daily on average to who knows how many. I have to say I'm a bit jealous that I haven't spent some of the money I blow on eating out every day on some recording equipment and a few guitar lessons. I had the voice lessons in middle school.

Interesting Statistics on Internet Porn

Here are some interesting statistics on Internet Porn which will give you some insight on our country. A couple of things that are funny when I think about it after watching this video. First of all the U.S. Produces 89% of the porn on the internet yet everyday people are protesting "adult toy stores" and strip clubs etc. Interesting that 70% of the porn viewed every day is viewed during the 9-5 workday. Ladies that tells you what your husbands are getting accomplished at work, and you know it's the husbands because only 28% of internet porn viewers are female. Not only that but people in congress bring up different fights against particular parts of the porn industry while they are at work and yet the U.S. Revenue made from Internet porn alone is $2.84 billion yearly. Check out the video the statistics are presented in an interesting way. However, do not view it with minors around you until you have viewed it first for their approval. There is no nudity in the video but the idea of nudity is clear which only serves to assist a little hormonal teenager's mind.

Sharia Muslims are on the Lookout for Lesbians

A Nigerian lesbian woman who married 4 brides on the same day is now in hiding from the Islamic police. The woman (Aunty Maiduguri) and her 4 partners were born muslim and therefore they fall under Sharia law where they reside. Apparently, in their culture (Islam) the men are allowed to take up to four wives as long as he can provide for all of them. Abiding by her culture (minus the man part) Aunty Maiduguri took 4 wives. The problem is just the one little part she's missing. No one would have said anything about the whole mess if she were a man. But alas she is not. I wouldn't be surprised if we are soon to see in the news that this woman and her partners have been killed unless she is somehow able to escape the country. The theatre where the colorful wedding was held has been torn down because of "allegedly" being built on wrongly allocated land, among other reasons. What a fiasco. I hope someone with money helps these women escape the clutches of those who will jail and stone them to death. If not, I'm assuming that all these women felt as if their love was so great it was worth the risk of death by stoning. I just worry that if/when they get caught (knowing oppressive cultures of men) their punishment will include some "off the record" sexual abuses. I'm glad I live in the U.S. where women can live together and pretend to be married without being hunted down and killed, where if they do they can count on people like Fred Phelps to protest at funerals on the basis that homosexuals have too many rights, where though you are free it is only pretend. At least they let me pretend is all I have to say. I'll take that over a stoning any day.

Weirdos Under God

OK. I know you've all heard of the Rev. Phelps. He is the reverend who for years has taken the members of his church to protest at the funerals of gay people and soldiers. His church members are currenty made up of different generations of his family members. The reason they protest all of these funerals and not others is because they feel like God hates homosexuals and that God hates America because it embraces homosexuals. Thanks to You Tube we can all watch videos of these wackos at work.

They usually use Leviticus 18:22 as their basis for the belief that God hates gays. That verse says something like 'Thou shalt not lie with a man as one does with a woman. That is detestible.' I think that homosexuals generally do follow that verse as they definitely don't lie with a man in the same way as they do with a woman. The odd thing is that the verse is from the old testament which was basically made not applicable to present day Christians after Jesus dying on the cross for everyone's sins among other things Jesus told us. I would be willing to bet you that these people and others like them commit the breaking of many of the laws in the bible. I know multiple Christians for instance who eat pork and others who do not hesitate to sleep in the same house and even the same bed as their husbands while on their periods. Women who cut their hair and leave it uncovered, people with tatoos, showing skin where it isn't appropriate. The list goes on but basically my point is that if you choose to follow one of the old testament laws you must follow all of them in order for anyone to take you seriously. These kooks are just that kooks. I really wish that we could predict the when the death of any one of these people would die so that we could go to their funerals and have a party or protest it with signs about how God hates people who break whatever rule in Leviticus that we choose. I would take time off work to go to that party and then organize protests or parties outside the house where these people live.

Give Honor to Bert Brady Who Gives Honor to Our Troops

This guy is a pretty cool guy. He lives near the Dallas-Ft. Worth airport and nearly every morning he gets up and goes to the airport to greet the soldiers who are coming home. He is the founder of the Welcome Home Project which is an organization dedicated to making sure that every soldier arriving home at the airport has his very own welcome wagon. ABC News made this guy their person of the week a while back and I think he's a pretty cool guy A very touching story which proves you don't have to be political to be patriotic. No one has to support the war and no one is restricted from supporting the war if they simply support the soldiers who are fighting the war. Guys like Bert Brady and like the members of the Patriot Guard are a part of what makes our country great.

Someone Has Killed Pakistan's Cricket Coach

After losing the world cup competition Bob Woolmer was killed in his hotel room. Authorities say it appears to be manual strangulation. I guess cricket must be a major deal to those who wanted Pakistan to win. Of course, I'm assuming that is the reason he was killed. You never know he could have been kicking one of his players off the team or any other list of theories. What if he's gay and was trying to pick up one of his players to console him after the loss. I don't know anything about cricket or the importance of it. About all I do know is that (if I am remembering correctly) it began in India. Of course we Americans prefer baseball over cricket. Baseball is definitely the lazier version of the two games.

New York Pictures

These are the pictures I took while I was in New York for the St. Patrick's Day weekend. If you want to look at any of the pictures closer just click on the picture and look at it. The enlarged version is not as high quality but the picture of the twin towers is better closer up.

This is what will stand in the footprint of the twin towers when all of the construction is completed. I'm sure there is all sorts of interesting stuff on the web about this building and its construction if you are interested in searching for it.

A picture of the Twin Towers from a plane. This must have been what the terrorists saw right before they flew down and killed all those people.

A police officer's weapons recovered from the rubble.

A man looking at all of the posters of the missing. In the museum the wall was wallpapered with these which had been scanned after the cleanup began. The personal phone numbers etc. had been covered up to protect the privacy of those who lost loved ones.

A spoon and fork found in the rubble from one of the cafe's at ground zero

Following weeks of controversy over the removal of two pieces of steel left standing in the shape of a cross when the World Trade Center collapsed, the Port Authority announces that they will be permanently displayed at the site.

I was touched by this picture so I had to take a picture of it. Most don't think of this during a tragedy. Medical teams are running around trying to triage physical injuries but afterward during the clean up and the recovery of bodies no one is their to triage our spirit. We should have these everywhere everyday.

This was a piece of one of the planes which hit one of the WTC buildings. It was found among the rubble. People were stepping over items like this trying to escape on that day.

A picture of the Pentegon

A picture of one of the victims with a bag of money which was recovered from the rubble

A fireman's breathing tank exploded and was later recovered from the rubble
A Muslim woman at a memorial service crying

A picture of one of the people who was missing. This was among the posters which were up when people were looking for their relatives. I took a picture of it because it made me think of my dad.

Melted metal found in the rubble

It took me a while to figure this one out. I stared for a long time finally realizing it was melted coins from the pocket of one of the victims. Of course the victims fate was much the same and I can only assume he was never located as heat that hot must have turned them to ash.

This little Port Authority Lamb survived the ordeal landing on top of some of the rubble. When he was found the rescuers wondered why the people who were there couldn't have had the same fate.

People hugging at one of the memorial sites

This is a chunk of metal and glass which melted together during the whole ordeal at the World Trade Center. Looking at this gives you an idea of how hot it got. Knowing that makes it easier to understand the images seen of people jumping from the building to their deaths, and it helps to understand why not all the bodies were recovered as they must have been turned to ash.

This was in front of the firehouse which is right next to ground zero. The red stripes have the names of all who were killed in the terrorist attacks on 9-11. The firemen there talk about it and tell everyone about how it is one of the ways that they can make sure we never forget them.

A fireman salutes and cries at a memorial service. This picture was up at the memorial site and I took a picture of it.

This is a picture of a fireman's jacket and hat. The jacket was shredded when it was found which tells you what likely happened to the man wearing it. His helmet was found a significant distance from the jacket days later. The jacket and helmet are in a glass case in a museum in front of a huge picture of the rubble. I took the picture not knowing that it would look like someone standing there in the rubble looking down.

Firemen crying at a memorial service. This picture was at the memorial site and I took a picture of it.

This is the snowy construction site where the World Trade Center once stood.

This is the site where the World Trade Center once stood. The workers worked even in the snow to complete the work.

This is some of the stuff that was pulled from the rubble. It is in a glass case in the museum next to the site where the buildings fell. The money people pay to get into the museum goes toward the memorial.

This is a picture of a car that was pulled from the rubble. It is completely unable to be recognized.
I have no idea what this is but it was at the memorial in New York so I took a picture of it

Who Americans Are And What They Do, In Census Data

Check out this article. Information from the census report shows all kinds of good info. Some examples: Americans drank more than 23 gallons each of bottled water almost 10 times as much as in 1980 and finally surpassing themselves in how much beer they drink. Americans are still the fattest people on the entire planet. Men who have had same sex encounters is around 6% (not counting the homosexual population) and women who have had same sex encounters is around 11% (not counting the homosexual population). American Indians are most likely to be told they have a learning disability. More people are injured by wheelchairs than lawn mowers. Bicycles are involved in more accidents than any other consumer product but weirdly enough beds rank a close second. Nevada still remains with the highest divorce rate with Arkansas trailing close behind.
