What Class Are You?

Ok. So the New York Times has a class calculator that you can choose options on in order to find out what class you fall into in 4 different categories. The categories are Occupation - Education - Income - Wealth. Check it out and let me know what class you are in my comments. I am Middle Class in Occupation falling into the 45th percentile of the country - Upper Middle Class in Education falling into the 69th percentile - Lower Middle Class in Income falling into the 38th percentile - Lower Middle Class in Wealth falling into the 37th percentile - My average is in the 47th percentile. I have to say one thing that I am disappointed in as it relates to this little calculator is that my education is Upper Middle Class and the rest of me is well below that. I suppose that shows you just how lazy I really am when it comes down to it. The other frustrating thing is that I am middle class in my occupation but I am getting paid a lower middle class income. What the hell is that about? I would venture to guess it is because I have a lower middle class attitude, a lower middle class confidence level and a bottom 5th class mouth. We'll see whether or not any of that changes now that I'm doing the work I'm doing as it relates to my Remediation of an Angry Fat Ass blog.

11 Year Old Boy Kills 1000lb Boar

Wow!! I went to Jamison's website and checked out all the pictures and emails after seeing his story on CNN Headline News. Check out the CNN story about it here. I borrowed the picture above from their story. When I was at Jamison's website dedicated to his big pig there were links to both negative and positive comments. At the time I was on the site there were 85% positive comments. As I looked at the negative comments I thought it's crazy how negative people are. Funny how they go on and on about dumb rednecks in much the same tone as they view dumb rednecks in. I think if they realized that no matter where you live and whether you eat meat or go hunting or if you get your food at the grocery store you still have the ability to be an ignorant dumb ass. Interesting how people think that the best way to get their point of view across to others is through angry comments which lack facts as opposed to intelligent conversation with facts that people can learn from and then make their own decisions. I think all the people in the sites negatives section would only serve to make someone turn out more angry and ignorant.
I have the benefit in looking at the kill from the point of view of two angles as I am a country girl who moved to the city after serving my country in the military.
I am from Oklahoma so I am definitely born and raised a country girl who grew up hunting for my own food in a family who had to go find our Thanksgiving turkey somewhere other than the supermarket. I see the benefit of hunting and know that it is generally done in particular season. I think what the negative commenters don't realize is that hunting is a highly regulated industry. Those in charge of each states Hunting and Game regulations closely monitor numbers of fish and game to make sure that there are not too little or too many in order that a healthy balance of all that the animals need to survive will be present in their lives. We humans are a part of that balance and now that I am living in the city I think it interesting and hypocritical that someone in the city could be mad at anyone killing animals when they are taking away the environment the animals thrive in at alarming rates as they build their McMansions all across America. I can say that growing up in the country where we had to work for our food on a farm or hunting it has made me realize just how lazy the majority of city people are while all along thinking they are working their asses off just because they sit at a desk or in traffic for 60 hours a week. I wish they would try a little taste of how I grew up. People worked the same amount of hours but had to get up before school at 0dark30 in the morning to do it and then into the night after school and still get our homework done keeping our state in the top 10-14 in the nation in education. In the city people hunt each other either in traffic or on the streets and then get in fights with each other at little league games after work. Granted there is murder and mayhem in the country too, but not in the same percentages and even if the statistics show murder in the same percentages in the country vs. city at least in the country you can go into any neighborhood you want without worrying about whether or not it will happen on the street as you walk/drive down it. People in the country know to keep their killing, murder, molestation and raping inside their homes instead of leaving and doing it on the public streets at the very least. It's just commen decency folks, we have to be considerate of our neighbors and not bother them with our problems. Think about it.
The only hunting that I am opposed to falls into about 3 categories: 1- Canned hunts for little pansy weasels who don't have the balls to hunt like real men out in the wild as opposed to on some fenced in range with tame animals; 2- Out of season hunting and/or poaching; 3- Hunts where anyone human or their hunting animals are injured because their dumb ass parents didn't teach them gun/hunting safety and instead they turn out to be the privileged dumb ass Cheney's of the world.
The other side of me lives in the city so I look forward to being able to go to the store and take a bite of whatever piece of Jamison's pig I can snarf upon if and when it is available. I am happy to know that when I travel back home to visit my family for family reunions and holidays that I can sit down at the table and eat a yummy venison burger or have an egg straight out of the chickens butt without having to do all the work the rest of my family has to do to get that food. I live in the city of Atlanta where all I have to worry about is traffic on my way to work and how loud the neighbor who shares my wall at my apartment building is playing his music. (Speaking of ignorant dumb asses) I love that when I go home to visit I can play the vacation card instead of getting up when it is still dark to go out and feed goats or hunt for the Christmas turkey. I just pretend that city life has really worn me down and I'm happy to be at mom or dad's house chillin out and eating whatever free range animal that crosses our path. That tactic usually works at least until the sun comes up.
I send out prayers for Jamison - for him to have good luck in all his future hunts, that he doesn't ever get injured or accidentally injure someone else or his hunting dogs, that he never becomes a pansy weasel at a canned hunt where he corners a not so wild ram in it's own feeding pen and kill it while it shakes in fear and pain, that he is a hunter who is a real man and actually hunts his prey like any other good predator would, that he never gets bored with hunting now that he's had the ultimate kill and everything else will be small potatoes, and that he never forgets that everyone in our country deserves equal rights even the dumb ass idiots who sent him their negative comments after all that is why I fought in the military was so those idiots would have a voice without taking away someone else's.
And finally one last prayer for myself as it relates to Jamison the pig killer. - I pray that he sends me a giant box of deer jerky next time he bags a big buck. I'm starving in the big city of Atlanta over here.

Atlanta Pollen

Who thinks they have the worst pollen? Here are a couple of night time pictures of what the pollen looks like on our cars here in Atlanta at about the 2 week into spring mark. This will last into June depending on the year and the amount of rain we get. I took these pictures so that the people in my family could look and see what it is we go through here. I do of course have some family in South Carolina and Florida who can definitely relate to the Atlanta Pollen issue. I hear people from Oklahoma talk about allergies and I just think to myself they are lucky they aren't here.

Pet Spa My Ass!

Watch this video. It is a "pet spa" allegedly. I don't know about you but when I go to the spa no one traps me in a washing machine without my knowledge and tries to drown me. I am exaggerating of course but this is not the machine to put your cat in. Please visit the website and protest this thing. What ever pet supplies store has this in it is in need of a little protest as well.

The video shows a cat being placed in the "spa" and then washed while it jumps and begs to be free from the whole event. The cat survives uninjured but I believe the machine is cruel. If you are too lazy to wash your animal then pay for a professional to do it please either that or deal with your animal the way he/she is stinky and all.

By the way cats don't need baths they wash themselves. Dogs are a different story all together-with them you have to pay attention to the breed or you'll cause all sorts of skin problems. For example Airdale Terriers should not be washed as often as some other dogs and so on.

Another video of my complex

The Curse of the Evil Landlord

Here is a video slide show I made of the complex I live in. Of course I along with the other tenants are fighting the situation. Do you want to do something about it? Call my landlord. Mike Furr at (404) 497-7614. He's a great guy I'm sure.

Checking in

Hello All. I wanted to drop a line and let you know that all is fine. I have not been on the blog since January 5th because life has been very busy. I have been fighting with my apartment management company to get them to perform maintenance for all of the tenants. They have not done any significant maintenance for 2 years now and when they slacked on performing my maintenance I got fed up and started a war. I first went around the entire complex and took pictures of every problem I could see. The worst of which was the sewage spewing from the back of our building and into the home-owner next door's yard. After that I went door to door in the complex notifying tenants of the goings on and asking them if they had any problems. All of them allowed me to inspect their apartments and take pictures of the problems. When that process is complete I am writing letters for all of the tenants requesting that the code enforcement officer come and inspect their apartments for problems. In the mean time I went to a city council meeting and let them know what was going on by giving them a 6 page typed report of the violations from half of the complex which totalled 177 or so violations. I have a couple of court cases to prepare for on Wednesday that I hope to help tenants win or at least get a continuance on. I am also doing lots and lots of taste testing trials for all the food samples I received. I will be publishing all of them when I am done. Some companies wanted you to know what their products were like and others didn't so I will be publishing that information as well. Thanks to all the companies who provided me samples and thanks to all of my clients who decided to let me feed your kitties and dogs all sorts of tasty samples. All of the furry friends are being cared for in the mean time. Samson and Delila, Tiger Lily and Skye, Winnie and Mary Lou are all doing just great. I will be getting back into the blogging again soon but I just wanted to check in so you all know I'm alive. By the way if any of you are interested Meridian Management Company is the company who I have launched a war against. The city mayor met with them on Friday because of the gravity of the information I've brought forward about them. This company is in Atlanta, GA so if you have renters as friends or are a renter yourself and you know this company give me info. If you do not then hope you never do.

James Brown Dies

Soul star James Brown died early Christmas morning in Atlanta,GA at age 73. His music is some of the most widely sampled music which is a compliment to him and a sad lack of originality on the part of the samplers. I will always remember him as the singer whom hardly anyone could understand when he spoke yet miraculously was completely understood in song. Much like Bob Dillon who is the opposite and can be understood when speaking but definitely not by all when singing.

I wonder how many of these kids' parents hated it that they loved James Brown music? And I wonder what it must have been like to be a black man performing in a place where black people weren't allowed to spectate the performance?

Court Case In Atlanta For Horrific Puppy Torture Case

There is a case in the court system currently where two teenage boys have been accused of torturing a small puppy by (among other things) cooking it live in a gas oven. Following are some snips from the article about the case. "Jurors recoiled in horror and wiped their eyes Thursday as prosecutors produced a series of grisly photos of a tiny puppy tortured and then killed in a gas oven...The blood stained oven showed showed scratch marks on the door and walls, indicating that the young dog - it's mouth and feet duct taped - struggled before it died...Beige paint also covered the puppy and the inside of the oven, a final act of cruelty before the animal was tossed into the stove..." The puppy was only 3 months old. (as if age makes a difference in the effect of paint, tape, cooking while live). This is a horrific case and I'm sooooo glad I didn't get called to be on the jury for this one. If I had I'm sure that they would have releived me of my duties pretty quickly because #1 I am a petsitter; #2 I think who ever is guilty should receive the same punishment as they dished out and #3 I would have jumped from the jury box and choked the shit out of the little punk bastards who were found guilty. All good reasons for the defense to decide against me as a juror.

Religion For A Captive Audience, Paid For By Taxes

Ok this is the reason that I think everyone who is not 100% represented by the taxes they pay should go out and seek reimbursement for that which we don't have access to. If you aren't a Christian but your taxes paid for something which involves Christianity then go out and find yourself a church that will give you something. Go to a church that takes part in the Angel Food Network for instance. You can go to that church and sign up to pay a small fee somewhere around $25 and then you get huge amounts of free food. Fill your refridgerator and freezer once a month with free food paid for by those who receive your money in the first place. Take your money back. Wouldn't you do that if you made an investment and it wasn't as successful as you had hoped? You would stop investing in that thing if it was a failure so you should do the same for your tax money which has failed you. Seek out all that you can and take it back for yourself. If you pay taxes for things which support heterosexuals but you aren't a heterosexuals then take it back by going to find some place supported by government money and taking advantage of whatever the place offers whether you need it or not. Frankly, I'm sick of paying for spousal benefits for police officer, Firemen and Military people who are married when I don't get any of those benefits for my own spouse. I fought for my country but I don't get the same money as others do for their duties. Don't let pride stand in the way of you getting free food or any other free stuff. Why? Because it's not free stuff it is yours that you have already paid for. If you don't need it then donate the food and stuff to some organization that will help people like you. Chris Kids for instance is just one organizations which helps gay and other youth who risk being homeless because of their families abandoning them. Youth Pride also helps gay youth. Donate whatever you get back to an organization which supports your religion. Are you Pagan or Wiccan then give money to Spiral Scouts so that other little Pagans and Wiccans can grow up with the same money that the government gives to Christianity. Take back that which is yours. I don't need free food either I have plenty of money with which to buy my own at the regular price but if I paid for it I'm taking it and not leaving it in the store and just walking out. I'm going to the Angel Food Network and getting my food. I don't eat beef and all sorts of other foods. Who cares? If the Angel Food Network gives those things to me what is to stop me from cooking up a big beef steak for the homeless guy down the street who happens to be just like me minus the shelter and clothes. Anyway you get my point now hurry up and go take it back. Add one word to the "Pay it Forward" Movement so that it becomes "Pay It Forward Equally".

Verizon Screws A Customer And Can't Even Figure Out How They Did It

Listen to this post it's great. Verizon quoted this guy .002 cents per kilo and then charged him .002 dollars. When he complained about it people all the way up to the supervisor argued with him about basic grade school math. These people forgot that when dealing with multiplication of cents you have to move the decimal two places to the left. This is a long recording but worth listening to just to see the stupidity of people. I don't have Verizon wireless as my provider and I can tell you after this I won't ever have them as my provider. I urge you all to post this You Tube recording on your blogs and to email Verizon just like I did. If you don't want to post your actual phone number use this one 770) 908-7383 it's the number to the rejection hotline. If you aren't in Georgia you can click the link and get a number close to you to use instead.

Rocky and Buddy Checking in

All is great on the fuzzy home front. Rocky is sleeping on one side of my white chair and Buddy on the other. Samson is in a little cubby on the couch that I created when I moved the cushions around. Delila is on the top of the pile of cushions I made and all are sleeping just fine. Buddy is getting feistier with the cats. It's almost as if he's taking up for Rocky now. It's the cutest thing. Any way all is fine accept for the occasional stir of the barking at my goofball neighbors.

Kitty Care Check in

All the cats in Atlanta are doing just fine as long as I am the one taking care of them. Winnie and Mary Lou are doing great. Nothing special or weird to report there. Tiger Lily and Skye are doing great as well. Goo in the eyes is doing just fine. Both are eating. Tiger Lily is running around like it's nobody's business trying to get me to play so I'm gonna stop and play with her.

The Buddy and Rocky Challenge

Today I am watching TBLJ's dogs Buddy and Rocky. It's a crazy situation. My cats Samson and Delila are just about 3 months old which makes them just big enough to think they're tuff and just small enough to be curious about things still. Samson is as curious as he can be about both of the dogs and each time they hold still he sneaks up on them to get a good whiff of them. He reaches out and touches Buddy's paw-nose,tail. When Buddy passes by Samson reaches out for him with his nose. The dogs are sniffing the cats and the cats are sniffing the dogs. Poor Rocky the min pin has been getting stalked the entire evening and now he's hiding under Buddy's blanket. He tried to hide in his own little bed and the cats kept sneaking up to sniff his butt because it was sticking out so I had to squirt them and ended up getting a little on him. He and Buddy are already afraid of the squirt bottle because the cats are getting punished with it and they think it is something I would use to punish them too. Now that the cats are more comfortable with the dogs I have to figure out how to get the dogs comfortable with the cats. Samson thinks Buddy's ears are a great toy and keeps trying to flip them and Buddy is doing pretty well at keeping himself calm. It has been 2 and a half hours and things are just now beginning to calm down. The cats are playing and the dogs are laying around nibbling on their chew sticks. We'll see how long it lasts.
