Paris Isn't So Lovely This Time of Year

Paris Hilton was sent back to jail kicking and screaming. The sheriff where she was serving her sentence reported that she is a mentally sick woman and that he released her on medical grounds because she clearly has problems and needs medical attention. I would agree I believe she suffers from a mental problem seen among many Americans especially those with a particular level of privilege. I think it's called "my parents didn't raise me right" Syndrome. It causes multiple bouts of seemingly uncontrollable sexual escapades made public, bad singing, drunken stage shows, travel around the world with small animals in special purses, public displays of stupidity, public airing of one personal life and problems, kicking and screaming fits when one doesn't get what one wants, crying over spilled milk, complete disregard for others and their property, constant attendance of parties one was not invited to, a substantially diminished vocabulary causing one to only say incomplete sentences while chewing gum, and many many other common symptoms. If you come across anyone displaying these symptoms walk away calmly and get out of camera range so that you are not associated with this person, get out your camera phone and prepare for a You Tube worthy show, call your friends and thank them that they are not that person, and finally if your friend is that person or someone like them jettison them out of your life at the earliest moment possible.

Another Dumb-Ass Texan

Gilberto Cantu, a Texas truck driver, has made the bone-head mistake of driving his truck through a tunnel that was too damn short for his truck despite bells-whistles-warning lights-traffic stop lights-police officers ordering him to stop on loud speakers. This guy is definitely a candidate for any upcoming Darwin Awards. What a mess!! The top of his truck was peeled like a sardine can when you open it. Who knows if any of his load was damaged but his truck sure was. Not only did he damage his truck beyond recognition and break cazillions of laws, he also damaged the tunnel forcing it to have to close down. This guy cost all sorts of money for all sorts of people. The taxpayers of the place he messed up will have to pay for that repair, the trucking company he worked for will have to pay hefty fines not to mention replace his truck, and he will likely get fired. Truck drivers every where should be mad that this one made the ranks of dumb butts in the news. Sorry to piss people off by calling Texans dumb asses but it is my duty as an Oklahoman born citizen to insult Texans at every opportunity. Gooooooo SSSooooonnners!!!!!! OOOOOOOOOOO....U!!

New York Pictures

These are the pictures I took while I was in New York for the St. Patrick's Day weekend. If you want to look at any of the pictures closer just click on the picture and look at it. The enlarged version is not as high quality but the picture of the twin towers is better closer up.

This is what will stand in the footprint of the twin towers when all of the construction is completed. I'm sure there is all sorts of interesting stuff on the web about this building and its construction if you are interested in searching for it.

A picture of the Twin Towers from a plane. This must have been what the terrorists saw right before they flew down and killed all those people.

A police officer's weapons recovered from the rubble.

A man looking at all of the posters of the missing. In the museum the wall was wallpapered with these which had been scanned after the cleanup began. The personal phone numbers etc. had been covered up to protect the privacy of those who lost loved ones.

A spoon and fork found in the rubble from one of the cafe's at ground zero

Following weeks of controversy over the removal of two pieces of steel left standing in the shape of a cross when the World Trade Center collapsed, the Port Authority announces that they will be permanently displayed at the site.

I was touched by this picture so I had to take a picture of it. Most don't think of this during a tragedy. Medical teams are running around trying to triage physical injuries but afterward during the clean up and the recovery of bodies no one is their to triage our spirit. We should have these everywhere everyday.

This was a piece of one of the planes which hit one of the WTC buildings. It was found among the rubble. People were stepping over items like this trying to escape on that day.

A picture of the Pentegon

A picture of one of the victims with a bag of money which was recovered from the rubble

A fireman's breathing tank exploded and was later recovered from the rubble
A Muslim woman at a memorial service crying

A picture of one of the people who was missing. This was among the posters which were up when people were looking for their relatives. I took a picture of it because it made me think of my dad.

Melted metal found in the rubble

It took me a while to figure this one out. I stared for a long time finally realizing it was melted coins from the pocket of one of the victims. Of course the victims fate was much the same and I can only assume he was never located as heat that hot must have turned them to ash.

This little Port Authority Lamb survived the ordeal landing on top of some of the rubble. When he was found the rescuers wondered why the people who were there couldn't have had the same fate.

People hugging at one of the memorial sites

This is a chunk of metal and glass which melted together during the whole ordeal at the World Trade Center. Looking at this gives you an idea of how hot it got. Knowing that makes it easier to understand the images seen of people jumping from the building to their deaths, and it helps to understand why not all the bodies were recovered as they must have been turned to ash.

This was in front of the firehouse which is right next to ground zero. The red stripes have the names of all who were killed in the terrorist attacks on 9-11. The firemen there talk about it and tell everyone about how it is one of the ways that they can make sure we never forget them.

A fireman salutes and cries at a memorial service. This picture was up at the memorial site and I took a picture of it.

This is a picture of a fireman's jacket and hat. The jacket was shredded when it was found which tells you what likely happened to the man wearing it. His helmet was found a significant distance from the jacket days later. The jacket and helmet are in a glass case in a museum in front of a huge picture of the rubble. I took the picture not knowing that it would look like someone standing there in the rubble looking down.

Firemen crying at a memorial service. This picture was at the memorial site and I took a picture of it.

This is the snowy construction site where the World Trade Center once stood.

This is the site where the World Trade Center once stood. The workers worked even in the snow to complete the work.

This is some of the stuff that was pulled from the rubble. It is in a glass case in the museum next to the site where the buildings fell. The money people pay to get into the museum goes toward the memorial.

This is a picture of a car that was pulled from the rubble. It is completely unable to be recognized.
I have no idea what this is but it was at the memorial in New York so I took a picture of it

Another video of my complex

The Curse of the Evil Landlord

Here is a video slide show I made of the complex I live in. Of course I along with the other tenants are fighting the situation. Do you want to do something about it? Call my landlord. Mike Furr at (404) 497-7614. He's a great guy I'm sure.

Checking in

Hello All. I wanted to drop a line and let you know that all is fine. I have not been on the blog since January 5th because life has been very busy. I have been fighting with my apartment management company to get them to perform maintenance for all of the tenants. They have not done any significant maintenance for 2 years now and when they slacked on performing my maintenance I got fed up and started a war. I first went around the entire complex and took pictures of every problem I could see. The worst of which was the sewage spewing from the back of our building and into the home-owner next door's yard. After that I went door to door in the complex notifying tenants of the goings on and asking them if they had any problems. All of them allowed me to inspect their apartments and take pictures of the problems. When that process is complete I am writing letters for all of the tenants requesting that the code enforcement officer come and inspect their apartments for problems. In the mean time I went to a city council meeting and let them know what was going on by giving them a 6 page typed report of the violations from half of the complex which totalled 177 or so violations. I have a couple of court cases to prepare for on Wednesday that I hope to help tenants win or at least get a continuance on. I am also doing lots and lots of taste testing trials for all the food samples I received. I will be publishing all of them when I am done. Some companies wanted you to know what their products were like and others didn't so I will be publishing that information as well. Thanks to all the companies who provided me samples and thanks to all of my clients who decided to let me feed your kitties and dogs all sorts of tasty samples. All of the furry friends are being cared for in the mean time. Samson and Delila, Tiger Lily and Skye, Winnie and Mary Lou are all doing just great. I will be getting back into the blogging again soon but I just wanted to check in so you all know I'm alive. By the way if any of you are interested Meridian Management Company is the company who I have launched a war against. The city mayor met with them on Friday because of the gravity of the information I've brought forward about them. This company is in Atlanta, GA so if you have renters as friends or are a renter yourself and you know this company give me info. If you do not then hope you never do.
