Polygamist Sect in Texas Gets Their Children Back

Thank goodness for this decision. I think it is amazingly appalling that this case was handled the way it was. Granted I don't agree with anyone under 18 having sex with anyone over 18 and so of course I support any child in that circumstance being moved from it and the adult being punished. It seems pretty clear to me however that the whole thing was all done because someone who didn't understand or agree with religious freedom and/or polygamy reported this case and a bunch of authorities who feel the same way ran with it. I wouldn't say this accept for that we know in ALL of the other cases where someone is reported as sleeping with children they do not immediately run in and steal the child away to "protect" them. If that were the case then there would be a hell of a lot more survivors of child molestation of one sort or another who were happier than they are now because they were taken out of the places they were in quickly. We know that isn't true. I went to middle school with someone who had been abused their entire life and didn't get any help until after she started college. Where are the authorities when religion isn't involved is what I want to know. I have to say that I have no problem with polygamy as long as everyone involved is consentual and of legal voting age. So with regards to this particular sect and others like it I would say abide by that and there will be all the support in the world coming from me.

Sharia Muslims are on the Lookout for Lesbians

A Nigerian lesbian woman who married 4 brides on the same day is now in hiding from the Islamic police. The woman (Aunty Maiduguri) and her 4 partners were born muslim and therefore they fall under Sharia law where they reside. Apparently, in their culture (Islam) the men are allowed to take up to four wives as long as he can provide for all of them. Abiding by her culture (minus the man part) Aunty Maiduguri took 4 wives. The problem is just the one little part she's missing. No one would have said anything about the whole mess if she were a man. But alas she is not. I wouldn't be surprised if we are soon to see in the news that this woman and her partners have been killed unless she is somehow able to escape the country. The theatre where the colorful wedding was held has been torn down because of "allegedly" being built on wrongly allocated land, among other reasons. What a fiasco. I hope someone with money helps these women escape the clutches of those who will jail and stone them to death. If not, I'm assuming that all these women felt as if their love was so great it was worth the risk of death by stoning. I just worry that if/when they get caught (knowing oppressive cultures of men) their punishment will include some "off the record" sexual abuses. I'm glad I live in the U.S. where women can live together and pretend to be married without being hunted down and killed, where if they do they can count on people like Fred Phelps to protest at funerals on the basis that homosexuals have too many rights, where though you are free it is only pretend. At least they let me pretend is all I have to say. I'll take that over a stoning any day.

Weirdos Under God

OK. I know you've all heard of the Rev. Phelps. He is the reverend who for years has taken the members of his church to protest at the funerals of gay people and soldiers. His church members are currenty made up of different generations of his family members. The reason they protest all of these funerals and not others is because they feel like God hates homosexuals and that God hates America because it embraces homosexuals. Thanks to You Tube we can all watch videos of these wackos at work.

They usually use Leviticus 18:22 as their basis for the belief that God hates gays. That verse says something like 'Thou shalt not lie with a man as one does with a woman. That is detestible.' I think that homosexuals generally do follow that verse as they definitely don't lie with a man in the same way as they do with a woman. The odd thing is that the verse is from the old testament which was basically made not applicable to present day Christians after Jesus dying on the cross for everyone's sins among other things Jesus told us. I would be willing to bet you that these people and others like them commit the breaking of many of the laws in the bible. I know multiple Christians for instance who eat pork and others who do not hesitate to sleep in the same house and even the same bed as their husbands while on their periods. Women who cut their hair and leave it uncovered, people with tatoos, showing skin where it isn't appropriate. The list goes on but basically my point is that if you choose to follow one of the old testament laws you must follow all of them in order for anyone to take you seriously. These kooks are just that kooks. I really wish that we could predict the when the death of any one of these people would die so that we could go to their funerals and have a party or protest it with signs about how God hates people who break whatever rule in Leviticus that we choose. I would take time off work to go to that party and then organize protests or parties outside the house where these people live.

Hanukkah Bird Brings Presents

The Christians have Jesus who brought them the gift of eternal life. The ones who couldn't handle that ended up with Santa Clause a big fat guy bearing gifts on Christmas Eve and according to Eric Schwartz on MySpace little Jewish Kids everywhere have the Hanukkah Bird.

Religion For A Captive Audience, Paid For By Taxes

Ok this is the reason that I think everyone who is not 100% represented by the taxes they pay should go out and seek reimbursement for that which we don't have access to. If you aren't a Christian but your taxes paid for something which involves Christianity then go out and find yourself a church that will give you something. Go to a church that takes part in the Angel Food Network for instance. You can go to that church and sign up to pay a small fee somewhere around $25 and then you get huge amounts of free food. Fill your refridgerator and freezer once a month with free food paid for by those who receive your money in the first place. Take your money back. Wouldn't you do that if you made an investment and it wasn't as successful as you had hoped? You would stop investing in that thing if it was a failure so you should do the same for your tax money which has failed you. Seek out all that you can and take it back for yourself. If you pay taxes for things which support heterosexuals but you aren't a heterosexuals then take it back by going to find some place supported by government money and taking advantage of whatever the place offers whether you need it or not. Frankly, I'm sick of paying for spousal benefits for police officer, Firemen and Military people who are married when I don't get any of those benefits for my own spouse. I fought for my country but I don't get the same money as others do for their duties. Don't let pride stand in the way of you getting free food or any other free stuff. Why? Because it's not free stuff it is yours that you have already paid for. If you don't need it then donate the food and stuff to some organization that will help people like you. Chris Kids for instance is just one organizations which helps gay and other youth who risk being homeless because of their families abandoning them. Youth Pride also helps gay youth. Donate whatever you get back to an organization which supports your religion. Are you Pagan or Wiccan then give money to Spiral Scouts so that other little Pagans and Wiccans can grow up with the same money that the government gives to Christianity. Take back that which is yours. I don't need free food either I have plenty of money with which to buy my own at the regular price but if I paid for it I'm taking it and not leaving it in the store and just walking out. I'm going to the Angel Food Network and getting my food. I don't eat beef and all sorts of other foods. Who cares? If the Angel Food Network gives those things to me what is to stop me from cooking up a big beef steak for the homeless guy down the street who happens to be just like me minus the shelter and clothes. Anyway you get my point now hurry up and go take it back. Add one word to the "Pay it Forward" Movement so that it becomes "Pay It Forward Equally".

Bill O'Reilly Responds To The Video I Posted Earlier With An 8 Year Old Ranting

Bill O'Reilly is retaliating to the video posted on You Tube with an 8 year old girl ranting about him being an idiot and disagreeing with his views. The girl obviously memorized a script given to her by someone older and was permitted to curse throughout the video. Of course Bill is responding with pseudo concern for the child because he says the child is being abused since she was forced to do a video in which she can't possible comprehend all that she is saying. What a whiner for retaliating and giving this video power and what a punk for acting like he cares about the child when he really wants to get the parents in trouble. He is no different than them using the child for his own gain and turning their own video weaponry against them. He says they're nuts and I say he is too.

Conservative Jews Allow Gay Rabbis And Unions

"The highest legal body in conservative Judaism, the centrist movement in worldwide Jewry, voted yesterday to allow the ordination of gay rabbis and the celebration of same-sex commitment ceremonies...The decision, which followed years of debate, was denounced by traditionalists in the movement as an indication that Conservative Judaism had abandoned its commitment to adhere to Jewish law, but celebrated by others as a long-awaited move toward full equality for gay people... Interesting Video - Lots Of Good Points

Here is a video I found on You Tube when I was skimming around on the internet. It's a little 8 year old girl responding to the day she saw O'Reilly on the Oprah show. The girl cusses in the clip and says stuff about religion so if you're easily offended then quit your bitchin' and get off the internet. It's actually sort of funny because I have a friend who I could imagine being like this when she was an 8 year old. The video has a lot of good points but it's a little weird coming from an 8 year old. She would likely be a good little actress and she should go on an audition because she does good at remembering her whole little speach and emphasizing emotion throughout the thing.

Six Muslim Imams Removed from U.S. Airliner

Six Muslim imams removed from U.S. airliner Six Muslim imams were removed from a US Airways flight at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Monday and questioned by police for several hours before being released, a leader of the group said.

I got an email from TBLJ about this and decided to comment on it. Once again someone has been removed from a plan for praying. First it's the Jews and then it's the Muslims. All because either people can't handle religion or people can't handle non-christian religion. Depending on which way you look at it you could argue that this is what happens when we remove prayer from schools or you could argue that this is what happens when ignorant people who have only been exposed to Christian style prayer are allowed to work for the airline industry or to fly. I say the only way to find out which is true is to get a bunch of open minded Christians to pray visibly on a plane and then get someone to complain of it who is on the same plane. If they remove the Christian from the plane then maybe it's a matter of this is what happens when you remove prayer from schools but I would venture to guess that the Christian would be permitted to stay on the plane which would fit with the second theory of Ignorant Christians Gone Wild.

Any volunteers out there willing to test the theory?

The Dutch Are Backing a Burqa Ban

Once again the Dutch are making stupid decisions. Wasn't it the Dutch that apologized a few years back for something they did wrong as it relates to oppression. I never can keep track of all the dumb crackers who buy, trade and steal Africans and others of color and take them to the Carribean or the U.S. to make them into slaves and then apologize for it years later to boost their tourism. I had an African American ex with a Dutch last name that she got from her white father. I used to listen to her tell her daughter we're not peasants we're Dutch royalty. I get the whole you can do whatever you want and don't let any one stop you lesson and I support being proud of the people who raised you healthily(if it can be said), but I used to wonder why anyone would associate themselves with something that is not them. Especially when you are associating yourself with someone who needs to apologize for all the oppression each time their economy needs a boost. The main reason they stated for their decision was "burqas disturb public order, citizens and safety." Maybe the Dutch are vastly different than us but I have never seen any one who wears a burqa disturbing public order. Do the Dutch begin running in chaotic crazy stampeding mobs when they see a burqa or something? If that's the case maybe they should pass a law against stampeding idiots. I'm wondering how many citizens are truly disturbed by the only 100 people who actually wear burqas out of like 16 million people. If it is a large amount I would be surprised. I think the "disturbed" ones were the government people who made the decision in the first place. I tell ya I worry about the IQ's of the Dutch and the French for making these types of decisions. I mean if I go by this country's record it would seem the places with the lowest levels of education are the one's making laws and supporting laws that are furthering in-equality. I'm just hoping that when I visit the goofballs over there they look like Amish because if they don't then I think it could be disturbing to public order. I mean who knows what kind of dangerous fashion statement may come into play next. Maybe someone will show their ankles. Oh My!!!

Houston Company "Sets the Landscape" for Bigotry

A Houston landscaping company refuses to accept business from a lesbian couple. The Houston couple was accepting bids from multiple landscaping companies when they received an email from Garden Guy stating "I need to tell you that we cannot meet with you because we choose not to work for homosexuals." After receiving the message they forwarded it to 200 of their friends and a "landslide" occurred. People sent both hate and love messages to the landscaping company. I have to say that if I were the gay couple I would have been thankful for the information. Who wants to be stuck around people who hate you? Small businesses have the option to refuse service to anyone and there is not necessarily anything wrong with that. I am a small business owner myself and I have refused to give service to multiple people for reasons ranging from their house being too messy for me to be able to stand to them being racist. If I want to make less money in order to have more peace of mind that is what I will do. My problem with these people is that they say they have become "accidental crusaders for Christ." People all day long say things about homosexuals without knowing really what the bible says about homosexuality. Of course I have to also say that it is not helpful for the rest of us as homosexuals when these bigots received hate mail threats against their lives and their childrens lives. Those who sent them hate mail which lacked any sort of tact and intelligence just sent home the message that there are idiots in every rung of society. And I agree with an association of professional landscapers having policies against non-discrimination. I feel like if you want to be a member of a particular professional association then you should be required to follow their policies in order to obtain membership with the association in the first place. People should have equal rights no matter who they are and one of those rights is to refuse service to whomever they choose. It's just unfortunate that they have that privilege while people like us have to fight the government for our own rights.

My Vent about Ousted Evangelist Ted Haggard

Rev. Ted Haggard confessed to his followers saying he was a deceiver and a liar who had given in to his dark side. This type of guy is why the rest of the world sees gay people as only interested in sex. There is a stereotype of homosexuals being a group of sex crazed party animals with no morals. If people who were actually gay like this "bone smoker" would just live their lives as the person they were then we may not have such an issue. This type of crap is the reason why people can't see gay relationships as just that, a "relationship". Because closeted bone heads like this guy end up creating some sort of huge issue when they are forced out of the closet by someone who has irrefutable evidence of them being an immoral bone smoking drug addict who pays for sex, the rest of us have to pay. The reason this guy fought so hard against gay marriage is because he couldn't imagine someone gay actually being in a relationship as opposed to just bending over for some prostitute massage therapist. In reality we homos actually do have relationships. We save ourselves for marriage (or some version of it), we live together, raise children, pay bills blah-blah-blah just like breeders do. I hope that all of the bone smokin prostitute chasers are forced out of the closet soon so that we can just live our lives and get on with it. I sure do hope I don't have to flip chanels to find his wife crying her mascara off later on this week.

What do challenges mean?

I wonder if this is true. I was watching someone on TV the other day and he was talking about a decision he had made in his life. He mentioned that when he told his friends they all tried to talk him out of it as if he were crazy. He said at every turn he met challenges from his friends and elsewhere as well. He said it meant that he was supposed to be doing that thing or he wouldn't have met so many challenges along the way. He said that God meant for him to do that thing and the challenges made that fact more clear, and that where he had received no challenges in his life he had come to know that was when he had made a wrong decision and taken the lazy/easy road for some reason or another. I want to know if this is true or is this some sort of hippy religious mumbo jumbo that people say to make themselves feel better about all the bad things which come along in their life. Chime in and let me know what you think.
