Limbaugh says Michael J. Fox exploited his disease

First let me preface this whole thing by saying that I am neutral on whether or not I like Limbaugh. I sometimes agree with his opinion and sometimes don't and it may be around 50/50 if I narrowed it all down. By no means am I writing this because I am one of those fanatical Rush haters nor am I a fanatical Rush lover. I think because I am neutral it enables me to have an actual opinion instead of having an opinion that is the same or opposite of Rush's depending on my support of him or my political party. He is a controversial man who's supporters are likely to not be open to an opinion that opposes him so I thought there was a need to preface with the above comments.
Fox appeared in a political ad supporting Claire McCaskill because of her support of stem cell research. Fox supports stem cell research because he believes it may help the progress of research for a cure for his disease (Parkinson's). After his appearance in the ad Limbaugh said Fox "was either off his medication or acting" while bouncing around to mimic Fox's actions and he also said "I think this is exploitive in a way that's unbecoming of either Claire McCaskill or Michael J. Fox."
When I read Rush's comment I thought to myself "this from a guy who is a drug addict who whined about his addiction calling it a disease and giving excuses for himself....How odd that he feels like he's not a hypocrite with his statements against people exploiting their own issues to their own or someone else's benefit....or with his criticisms of all imperfections in anyone who is not a Republican though they all have many of the issues that he himself has...is this not the pot calling the kettle black?" I wondered to myself "is it right for people who are having such major issues of their own to be the moral measuring stick for our leaders?" I suppose it is somewhat alright. I mean, we all have issues some worse than others yet we pick and choose who we vote on and who we don't based on at least some (if not all) of those issues. In fact, the people we have voted into office and the state of our country today is a measurement of our own issues really so we have nothing to complain about until we fix our own issues I guess. Where I do have issue though, is with Rush complaining and criticizing people who are in the same position as he is save that he had a choice when he was out of his mind on drugs. What I really meant though is that he is just some celebrity who has his own issues and an opinion on politics. The only difference between him and other celebrities really is 1) he isn't seen on the red carpet and at all the parties or in some porn flick with Paris Hilton etc. and 2) he criticizes people all day long as opposed to the majority of other celebrities who choose various other useless and pointless things to do. Any way the point of all this is that Rush is an ass for criticizing another person's crutch and then crying about his own in an exploitive way. I give 4 stars to Rush for his major wahhhhhhh about someone other than himself exploiting their issues for political purposes and for "acting" like his own issues don't exist and weren't exploited. Kudos Rush for picking on the little handicap kid who's drugs were at least legally prescribed.
